Anna Theresa (Bankos) Hlywa 90, of Clifton passed away on July 9, 2010, at the Casa Mara Rehab Center in Bradenton, FL. Anna was born on February 25, 1920, in Boonton and lived in Paterson before settling in Clifton.
She worked at Barbizon in Paterson before devoting her life to her family. She was a longtime parishioner of St. Brendan’s Church in Clifton. Beloved wife of Andrew Hlywa. Devoted mother of Barbara Goodrich and her husband, Ken of Elmwood Park; Andrew and his partner, Dawn Dilorenzo of Longboat Key, FL; and Michael and his wife, Kathy of Fredon.
Cherished grandmother of Ken Goodrich and his wife, Cindy of King, NC; Wendy Brick of Hamburg; Lisa Hlywa of Bradenton, FL; Gayle Robbins and her husband, Bobb of Harding, PA; Jeff Goodrich and his wife, Cara of Wyckoff; and Katerina Hlywa of Fredon. Loving Bobcia (great grandmother) of Courtney, Amanda, Michael, Alex, Lauren, Stephanie, Holly and Emily. Cherished sister of Betty Wackerling of Point Pleasant and Helen Sopuch and her husband, Leo of Bayonet Point, FL. Anna was predeceased by two brothers, Henry and John.
